1. About Alibi

Alibi is a free, browser-based noir card game of hidden roles, bluffing, and deduction. You can play online against other players, against a built-in AI opponent, or locally in "hot-seat" mode by sharing one device with another person. Alibi is operated independently by its developer, based in Slovakia.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or playing Alibi, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game. These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

3. Account Rules

To play online, you choose a nickname and a password. There is no separate registration step - your account is created automatically on your first login. Nicknames must be unique and are case-insensitive. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Accounts inactive for 72 hours are automatically and permanently deleted.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use bots, scripts, or automated tools to play on your behalf. Do not attempt to bypass our systems, exploit bugs for unfair advantage, hack accounts, cheat, or send abusive messages in chat. Do not impersonate others or interfere with other players’ ability to use the Game.

5. Permitted Use of Game

We grant you a personal, non-commercial licence to access and play Alibi. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, rent, sell, or commercially exploit the Game. You may not use it to build a competing product or scrape data from it.

6. Blocking for Violations

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, violated applicable law, or created a risk for us or other players. We use technical measures such as authentication and IP-based rate limiting to enforce fair play.

7. Game Materials

Alibi contains source code, text, interface elements, logos, characters, images and other materials created, selected, edited or compiled for the project. Some visual materials may have been created using artificial intelligence tools.

You may use these materials as part of your access to Alibi and gameplay. You may record, publish and stream your own gameplay.

You may not extract and separately distribute Alibi’s source code or game materials, except where permitted by applicable law or with written permission from the project owner.

These Terms do not claim rights to third-party materials, game mechanics, or other elements that are not protected by applicable law.

8. Updates and Availability

Alibi is provided free of charge. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may perform maintenance, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Game at any time, with or without notice.

9. Account Deletion

Alibi does not currently offer an in-app "delete my account" button. If you simply stop logging in, your account will be automatically deleted after 72 hours of inactivity. If you want your account deleted sooner, contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it manually.
